Well once again it's that time of year. Deer in rut, running everywhere, the Bucks chasing Does. Last night the wife and kids wanted to go for a walk, so we headed out back across the neighbors pasture. We didn't walk far, few hundred yards when there they were. Four deer, a few Does and one of the biggest 10 pointers I've seen in years.
I said " look at the size of that Buck " my wife says " who cares "....the kids started craning their necks to see...they were about 200 yards out. It was then that I noticed what was about to happen and told my wife " ah, well, ah I think you're about to see nature at it's finest " she says " WTH are you talking about ".....the Buck is about to mount that Doe.
She says " oh bull " and it was then that the Doe raised her tail and I said " watch " ah " well DON'T WATCH KIDS " but it was too late....He was already aboard and the rest is history.
I told my wife well at least you've seen something that very few people today ever get to see.
Pretty cool, and a very very nice Buck. I had my phone with me and tried to get a pic but could only get within a 100 yards or so. So I passed.
Gun season comes in next week-end....someone will more than likely bag that one if they happen to see it..
