IT is against flag etiquette for a flag to touch the ground.

When our flag hits the ground there is a proper way it is disposed of. Not sure what they did after it fell to the ground, hopefully it was caught by someone in the crowd, before it touched ground. Doubt if it was planned, but certainly a blunder of the Olympic committee, and certainly spoiled the moment for that athelete. I'm sure they might just hang the flag on 2 open hooks for a 30 second job. I hope they figure out a way to hang it from a closed hook so it can never happen again.

yeah... that was like... totally a coincidence.. you know just like showing the south Korean flag when the north Koreans were about to take to the field. :eh:
