former fatah leader taken before an Jerusalem magistrate to testify in a family
terror trial. practically dragged in chains. he does have rights to not testify and exercised them. he did however make an statement covered by the press that
said in effect . pleaded for peaceful resistance and return to pre 67 . that peace
would ensue.
it's been reported that during the trial he " refused " to cooperate
w/ the court and "declined to testify." which begs the question. why appear in court ? I believe the israelians have violated the Geneva conventions
article 13- 3rd GC. " parading prisoners- obligation to protect from public curiosity, insult to dignity ( he was shackled and half dragged)
for all intents and purpose this " rare appearance " was israeli propaganda .
had barghouti been released during prior inmate repatriation his comments
would have been not contested. ' word baby. '
