I can only think/hope those cops, on a personal level, are feeling torn over all this (you can actually see the sort of pained expression some of them have over this)
It is their job to keep order and clear the sidewalk..thsoe kids woudl nto move..the police..it is their job to clear the sidewalk and keep order
the students were blocking the sidewalk and would not move...
(my H is hearing stories of Occupiers spitting vinegar on cops..anger is building on both sides)

The students were non-violent, passive, sitting on the ground, not yelling or creating any threat. The head of all California University systems was appauled by the cops and has placed their chief, and 2 officers on suspension. In California, the Universities have their own State Police uniformed officers. They are not part of the Regular towns police, they are special State level Cops assigned to in and around the campus.

I find the stuff that is happening to many of the, mostly peaceful, Occupy movement camps is kind of appaling..and scary.
