Law suits will be coming and why Paterna a few months ago sold his home to Mrs. P for one dollar, to protect and move assets. I think hiding assets may or may not protect him, there may even be legal presidents about it, but not sure.
Question is when the suits start, like all the Catholic Pedifile suits, how many will be real and how many are just joining in for the payoff scamming?

YOU R MISSING THE BIG PICTURE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>I said this from the very beginning................Paterno is personna-non-grata, yet he makes for a good story due to his career............

You're missing the machine at work ( the real travesty ) Did you know that the FEDS have been looking at this for over two plus years??????????? Since initial opening of the investigation 2 other kids ( minimum ) have allegedly been assaulted by Sandusky------------Molested if you will...

Today the Governor/Senator/PTB-------------Made the sickening excuse that moving sooner would have blown their case.----------Think about that!!!

All for the greater good >>>>>>>>>>>>>..matter of national security >>>>>>>>>>>>>.yada yada yada...............Sickening!!!

I heard that one of these assaults took place within 2 months of finally making the decision to bag the guy. Can you imagine that being you or your son?

And you have to ask.......... Get real.

Goodbye JoePa............RIP.

These past two months were an obvious mental burden.........You' tried during your last words................I hope people are able to learn from such a thing.

Much respect for the effort in that regard..............obvious anguish.

Rest easy Joe.

I imagine there are many today, not too sad about his passing.

Sure, those who jumped on the bandwagon and enjoyed demonizing a good man. No doubt the same people that hate Tim Tebow or Justin Bieber for the sake of hating a good clean persona. This "guilty until proven innocent" mentality is nothing more than a witch hunt, people are all too eager to burn others because they enjoy the power. Facts, logic and rationale go right out the window in favor of mob rule and hearsay. In other words, anything that doesn't support their claim.

If blame is to be assigned to anyone, other than Sandusky himself, it lies squarely on the administration of the university, the police and the fed. Using Joe Paterno is just convenient for all concerned and a nice distraction since our society loves to hate good people. May Joe Paterno rest in peace.

He himself said he should have done more, than just go to the head of the school. I am referring to the parents of those children and the kids who may have never been molested, had they not kept this all quiet.

While he should be remembered for all the good things he has done, and his football field performance, this event was poorly handled by the University, and they as employees(Paterno and the Red haired coach) were allowing their good judgement, and the right thing to not be done. They kept the matter contained within closed doors, that was a major serious felony crime. Truth be known, it probably was riding the fine line of obstruction of justice, and at the very least allowed Sandusky to continue for many years. As employees their duty is to tell the boss which they did, and the boss (company/school/workplace) has the responsibility to go outside the workplace with it(to the police). I know where I worked, it would not be my duty to go over the heads of upper management, or security, for things taking place on the premises, short of a major crime which this is. It rather goes beyond a simple employee/employer labor relations problem you are expected to report to the company, and from that point stay out of it, as a company issue with another employee. Again, this is not just a simple company rule, this is a major crime with underage victims. They all knew and all covered it up, shame on all of them.

i wouldn't put Joe Pa in the same category as Tebow or Bieber because he knew about the problem, went to the head of the college, and then walked away. It's just not something you should walk away from. However I do understand the torment he must have felt because I do believe he was good and wanted what was good. He just didn't quite have the wherewithall turn in a friend to the police. Many, many otherwise good people would have done the same or even less than what he did.

The difference between Joe Pa and me (and many others here I am sure) is that once Sandusky was caught doing what he did, his "friend" status would have disappeared immediately and I would have gone straight to the cops. It's not like Sandusky was stealing pens and mousepads from the office. He was permanently ruining lives.

All the people involved made a decision to keep this quiet, placing the university, its football, local revenue, and reputation of the school first over taking a child molester off the streets. When you think about it, the coverup is just as dispicable as any of the pedifile priest coverups, that everyone has no sympathy for, but when its for the almighty weekend football game, thats different. I would love to be a fly on the wall with the University dean, the alumni, chamber of commerce, all deciding they could handle it privately with Sandusky, becasue the scandel would ruin the town and university.
