Operational branch of Tsahal’s general staff issued an order which forbid officers and warrant officers to visit 36 countries and regions, primary Muslim. Surprisingly orthodox Georgia can be found among such countries like Egypt, Jordan, Chechnya, Tunisia, etc. Some may think that’s some kind of mistake but Israel’s decision to put Georgia on the list has good reasons. Saakashvili’s closest cooperation with Islamists and granting them Georgian territory for training camps and bases endangers presence of any citizen of Israel in the country. In fact Georgian law-enforcement agencies are not interested in protection of the Israeli and investigation of those ones who were kidnapped by Islamists in Georgia. Israel’s official query to Georgia and Saakashvili was ignored. This suggests that Georgia and maybe Saakashvili himself make profit from covering Islamists and get a share of ransom paid by Israel. That’s enough to put Georgia among Israel’s worst enemies...
