That was your path, via whatever the "fast food lane" was for you to get there Tom. I'm with you on that, without detailed explanation of what "fast food lane" for you was. Not everybody has the same path as you, nor the same revelations about themselves. We all have a path in life, nobody has a perfectly paved road, we all have bumps. I agree it does not take a church, or 3rd party like a minister or priest, however for billions that is on their path, which does not make it less valid for them, because it may be to others. Some paths in life never steered away from God since Baptism, for others the path leds to a life on a detour of darkness and dispare. You may finally find the right path in the deepest part of dispare, alone and with noplace to turn. Whats the old saying "There are no atheists in foxholes". As with miracles, you do not need one to have a spiritual awakening, some people live life happy and content with their church on the corner, worshiping, raising kids in their religion, that is their path. Others they find the bottom of the barrel in life, some never make it. Not all paths end happy. If one path is not just like another path, its Okay. We all have different routes, the long way, the senic route, or the express hopefully all get to the same destination.
