That's nuts. I heard it over the radio. Apparently he had a lot of health problems. Isn't that why he stepped down from Apple a couple months ago?

he had pancreatic cancer and had been fighting it over 8 years.

thats what killed the dirty dancing star..his name escapes me for the moment.

this takes nothing from the man, who is clearly a much loved genius..that the world is a little less brighter without (plus, as ya''ll know..I can drink..this is why i know about this stuff,actually..had my gall bladder removed a while back..so it's not so much an issue for me)

Anyone that drinks a-lot or regulalry should be taking Milk Thistle regulalry..for protection of their liver, pancreas and gall bladder

I was going to mention something about this a month or so ago ( when he resigned his post at apple ) but out of respect for Steve............I passed. You are correct.............he was battling SOMETHING.

The scum at TMZ had some photos that depicted his ( probably real issues/root cause of the illness/disease ) but preying on Billionaires is deep water compared to preying on actors and the like............To my knowledge they never had anything to say about the photos Yet to be honest I never looked further....

Being the head of a publicly traded entity such as Apple.......Many very powerful people have HUGE VESTED INTEREST in any PR associated with the CEO, especially a founding CEO....

Just consider that when you read about things like Cancer when associated with death.

Steve was an absolute genius, and above all, obsessed with Apple, that is reflected in the current value of his company........a far cry from the garage he first called his office.

Westboro Baptist Church--best known for its reviled anti-gay protests of American soldiers' funerals--announced last night on Twitter that its members will be picketing the funeral of Apple founder Steve Jobs.

"He had a huge platform; gave God no glory & taught sin," Westboro leader Margie Phelps tweeted--from her iPhone.

Let's hope that Phelps has managed to resist her own iPhone's magical powers to "teach sin."

I wish I could say I'm surprised, but I knew Westboro would jump with joy at the prospect of showing protest to someone so imbedded in technology and science.
