My daughter had no power in Indio for about 8 hours. They were packing the car so she could bring the baby home, when they got power back. It was 117 degrees when the power went out, luckily their house is very well insulated, they paid for extra insulation when they built it. The house was heating up, and the baby was getting pretty uncomfortable. Luckily the failure occured and it was only a few hours from sundown. They didn't know if they would have have power next day or not. Also he would have had to stay home and tough it out, with the dogs and cats, letting them in and out. Its way to hot to leave dogs in a yard all day, they have to stay in. Even in a hot house at least they are out of direct sunlight. All is back up and running in the entire county now.
