Actually there is not much sound if there is no one around to hear it. The tree just picks itself u[ and brushes itself off and continues standing where it was before. Trees only make a sound when there is someone around to give it sympathy.

I guess then the question becomes this: do we get more enjoyment out of a tree when we breathe its oxygen or when we look at it with ornaments on it.

Cuz it's all about how much we enjoy things, possibly factored into it is long-term enjoyment. Certainly we wouldn't enjoy life if we were dead, so eventually we should probably decide to not harvest all the trees.
