Something I think about with precognition (via a time traveler or otherwise) is whether or not "the" future can be altered in light of said precognition. There is an argument there that indicates that an omniscient being has no free will because it knows what it will decide to do forever.

There is an alternate theory which resolves the paradoxes that come with time travel and precognition. Parallel universes.

Supposing there is a universe just like ours except it is running 50 years in what is for us the past, then a parallel jumper could go to that universe, kill "his" grandfather, and there are no paradoxes. Precognition is a glimpse into one slice of the sea of potentialities, perhaps one of many parallel universes. The precognitor could then change what happens in "his" universe.

He had mentioned seeing Lincoln being assasinated, but also said he had been sent there multiple times, and every time he was sent there, the scene changed a little. So possibly just by breaking the time / space thread, it may be affecting alternate universes drastically.

He also discussed during the cold war we had hidden top secret documents in the future, so the Soviets, even if they knew where the documants were being kept, they could'nt get them because they were placed into the future.

Well, it looks like this is not a time traveler after all. And there is a good explanation of the device this woman is using. It appears to be a hearing aid of the type invented in 1910 by the Siemens company. The handset of the device is configured to be used just as the woman appears to be doing. While the handset is still attached to a larger box, the box is small enough to be carried under the coat she is wearing. I still think though if there are time travelers, this is the way we would find them. By accidentally catching them on film using anachronistic technology or wearing clothing that does not fit into the time period.
