True, but funny.....

Postby mrmonsoon » Mon Oct 04, 2010 10:10 am

Ok, this is somewhere between a joke and a rant....

It never fails to amuse me when I see a very large woman who goes into a fast food place and orders an apple pie and a diet coke, I mean come on..... seriously.....

It's not a joke or a rant.

It's Irony.

Why do you think that only applies to heavy woman? Heavy men do it, and so to normal size people. Most people that drink diet drinks do not like the taste of regular soft drinks.

 Well it is a bit funny because I see that stuff all the time.
Soo many women are dieting, they say they are dieting and then eat whatever
they want. Or they limit themselves for a couple weeks and then binge eat for 1
week of all junk food/sweets etc. If you're going to diet that way then just don't diet at all!
But like greeney said, some people just like diet soda- I personally can't stand diet soda. And if I go to a fast food place, say for instance Mcdonalds, I end up ordering a quarter ponder with cheese meal Large size, a Coke, and a double cheesburger on the side with it.

A woman laughed at and snickered at for being heavy really destroys her sense of self worth and makes her feel very self-conscious.

Which is why I do it every opportunity I get.

Heavy people typically need to avoid sugar and drink diet soda to do that. Then over time, they develop a taste for the diet soda so that believe it or not, it tastes better than the regular.

That's what you see going on. It's ironic from the little people point of view because they never had to worry about avoiding sugar and developing a taste for diet soda. :)
