Einstein summarized special relativity once. I'll paraphrase.

One minute with a hot potato in your hand feels like forever but sitting next to a pretty girl on a bench for a few hours feels like seconds. THAT is relativity.

It was amazing that he could convert his intuitive idea (that) into something hard core scientists had to accept from such a newb in a post office.
