Sandra, when you grill, do you have a propane BBQ or charcoal? I love charcoal, but got lazy a long time ago, and went propane. My Father in Law always have a good ol Weber Kettle Charcoal grill, and for some reason they seem to be the best. I have one of the small portables for my tent trailer (havn't used it in years).

When you want to try something differnet, buy turkey parts. I''ve also done them with traditional kinds of BBQ sause, like Kraft's brand.

My friend gave me a almost brand new brinkman smoker, which I have not used yet. He found it in a garage sale. Its a wood/charcoal kind, not electric, and I;m not quite sure how to use it yet, but really want to try it out. Thank God for the Internet, I found insturctions on like real easy, plus step by step How to cook things. Maybe I'll do something like a brisket, which I;ve never done before. The idea of doing a slow cooked thing with wood is really cool. Tell us how you do it.

Real wood really makes a difference? Only time I've used real wood cooking, is over an open fire. Burgers, pancakes, chilli or whatever while camping-

Otherwise I've always used a charcoal grill, I prefer charcoal over propane, my grandparents have a propane grill the size that would fit nearly a whole cow on it. I'm guessing real wood is probably the better option of all of them, hmm.

Yeah greeney, I don't think I will start off trying a whole Turkey, thats alot of meat that would
go to waste if I trash it. So I'll butcher it first.

And this morning, I had french toast and eggs- have to be careful of the eggs right now we just had a mass recall in all the local markets.

Sandra, do your markets only sell whole turkeys? Ours have a section for Jenne-O brand, and you can buy turkey parts, just like chicken, drumsticks, breasts or thighs, ground turkey, etc. Actually what I bought and BBQed was a half breast, not a whole.

Sometimes they do, I mean they always have ground Turkey, but sometimes the selection is very limited for pieces. Usually I see drumsticks etc but not good turkey breasts.
I will though, and I haven't checked out much of jennie o anything, is the brand good? I still have to try a couple recipes I've been waiting to- One is a home made pizza. I haven't made home made pizza since I was a kid!!

And right now I'm trying to decide what I should have for dinner, its 6:30pm here.

I am, but this is special Gun Show jerky that only comes around once every two or three months.

I can't stand that 'shoe leather' stuff.
