Me and Mrs G2 are only 4 weeks away from being Grandparents for the first time. Finally got my A/C fixed so we could drive out to visit them in Indio. Can you imagine being pregnant and dealing with 120 degree weather? Their house is so well built, you don;t even know when its hot outside til you step outside.(lucky for her) We always partake in the Casino Buffets when we visit, this time a very small donation to the slot machines. She can't be near the cigarettee smell.
We are going to take a little trip up the coast middle of this week, may stay someplace one night, near the ocean. Pismo Beach may be the place. I'd like to plan a trip someplace his fall. Hyway 49 in California, takes you up into the mining history, Placerville, near Yosemine National Park. Watching the National Geographic series on the National Parks, I would love to take a trip to Brice and Zion, and fall would be a perfect time, when school is back in session. For us, Utah is only about 125 past Las Vegas (265 miles), so its not that far to drive. Staying at some of the great lodges they featured looks like a lot of fun. Both trips would be great to plan.
I used to live in Placerville (aka Hang Town). Hwy 49 (so named for the gold rush in 1849) runs real close to where I live now. I'm near 26 which connects with 49 but I am a ways south of where you were.
Just think for a moment we were probably within 20 miles of each other.
I got some friends who think of my home, or, more accurately, the buffalo's home, as a vacation spot
Just a few weeks ago I and mrs at1with0 went to mendocino which is near the oregon border, kinda. It was swell.
