Magic? What do we mean by that word? Aleister Crowley described magick as "the science and art of causing change to occur in accordance with the will".

By that definition I take my "magical instruments" (my hard drive, its operating system, the keyboard, the monitor, my internet connection) and by manipulating all these things in a certain way I cause my words to appear in accordance with my Will here at a place called "The Black Vault Forums" located somewhere in cyberspace where thousands of people can read them.

How much magick do you want?

This reminds me of a conversation I had with a younger woman many years ago.

I was being "abducted by aliens" then. (yeah, I'm one of those)
This all happened while it was going on. (nights were terrifying for me back then)

I would tell people about it, because I was trying to work it out and it was just..nuts.
Most people thought I was just nuts. But this one young gal I worked with back then took me seriously ..listened to ALL my stories..we got a kinda close.

Finally, one days she said "I believe in vampires" and I burst out laughing and said to her, in the snittiest voice "Really?? You're kidding, right?".. it crushed her..she back tracked and never shared that part of her with me again.

I look back and see what a supreme azz I was being.

anything is pausible in this big universe

Why? Are you having fun?

You and your open mind are obviously a force to be reckoned with...I applaud your insight and must concur...magic created with a computer is NO diferent than magic from a secret tome...it is real no matter which is used and MUST adapt to the times in which it occurs...It is the mind that decides which is appropriate and the spirit that carries it forth...

"Your imagination is your preview of life's coming attractions" --- Albert Einstein

Sometimes as well our imaginations are present attractions.

I think magic is in everything. Although the people whom are
using larger amounts of their imaginative thinking in accordance with
Universal Laws are at times making big noise in this world. I truly
believe one of the greater balancing acts of this world is the belief
in Solid Objects and different perceptions in time and space.
In a sense, it holds things back from the chaotic being
able to chaotically create within freer realms. Quantum
physics is starting to pick up on alot more of the interconnectedness,
but how much of the observations are limited to their own senses.

astonishment. “I never heard of such a thing!”

If we could traverse parallel universes, that would seem like magic.

The problem with this is how terms have changed from then to now, as well as how our understanding of nature has increased a lot since then. (Though, not nearly as much as we think).

What would be called magic in the dark ages would be called science today.

Back then it was Merlin, today it is Steven Hawkins.

Definitely agree with that!

What would be called magic in the dark ages would be called science today.

Not really, crediting Stephen Hawkings with knowing something about magic is a bit
of a stretch unless you are insinuating he knows something about Black Magic?
Its over-rated.
