Your paragraph about "cold war" may, unfortunately, have some truth to it. The current troubles are all a result of the schism in the US that happened in the 1960's and it has been steadily getting worse. Now we've reached a point where the 2 sides can no longer co-exist. There is going to be either, major changes in the politics of the US, or the US is going to break apart, or both. Looks like Texas may be the first state to separate, as it has the constitutional power to do so. Unfortunately it is the only state with that power so further separations will require more drastic action (like a civil war). I can see the US becoming 4 separate countries, the north, the south, the east coast, and the west coast, more or less.

I personally would say that the commies were here way before the 1960's. I've heard the arguments about them infiltrating the hippy movement and anti-war protesters, but I think it started somewhere between the late 19th century and the very early 20th century. I also think that McCarthy was right and we should have listened to him.

If you look at the popular votes for the president in the early 20th century, the communists had a bit of a showing as did the socialists. The socialists were a huge part of the movement for unions. (OOOOH I get to say union! ) Basically what they did was defer payment to corrupt government to corrupt mob lead unions. But, I have to say that I'm torn on unions. My mother was a union steward, yet I'm a Libertarian. I have much more to research.

Anyway, if you, or anyone else would like to carry this on, I'd be more than willing to explore this.

Your are very right. They were in the US in big numbers long before the 1960's. They were working to wreck the US in the 1920's and were in full support of the Russian Revolution. They were the ones who corrupted the idle rich, and others, in the US to support creating a recession in 1929, which became the Great Depression of the 1930's. They are the ones behind the current economic problems. I even heard something today that is equivalent to an admission that they are in control of this recession. They said it was time to bring it to an end. They have that power??? Yep.

90 years and the American people still haven't figured it out. All the people's problems are manufactured. And the B.O. administration is now trying to export the tactic used by the dems over the last half century to keep the black community down. By getting the "target" to hate certain things they can be controlled. They got the black community to hate republicans or anyone with conservative views. This kept black people against the system and therefore kept them out of the system and poor. Now B.O. is using the same technique with other countries. Make them hate the United States which will keep them from developing their capitalist democracy and instead turn to big government systems like socialism. Keep 'em hating, keep 'em ignorant, rape 'em.

In the past I've read the theory about "women's lib" being a tool to bring in more tax money and getting the state to raise the children. Also propaganda from the commies. This is another issue I'm partly torn on. As a female, I'm glad I'm able to work in an industry that was denied to my mother (not due to aptitude but due to hiring practices). But, I also choose not to have children. Had I had children, I would have home schooled and made sure that somebody was home for the kids. But, I want to be able to make that choice. It seems the way it's been handed down is that women with children working outside the house is a good thing.

I call public "education" indoctrination. When the state controls and limits history, and tries to "parent", and put kids on pharma drugs, and everything else...I have a problem and believe it's due to commie propaganda. Or that is why Americans aren't yet fighting back against it. Hence, why I'm a huge supporter of home schooling.

The whole black/white issue continues on, in part, due to people like Jesse Jackson running around helping to create a victim black society. I'm not in the south, so most of the blacks I meet don't have this created victim mentality as shown in New Orleans. The problem isn't color, the problem is the "victim mentality" that was created by communist/socialist propaganda and FDR. That boy knew nothing about economics!

I met a guy a few years ago that I nicknamed "the commie". I was reading Ayn Rand in a bar and he commented on it. In that discussion he gave praise to China. Well, a few years later he lived in Dublin, for school. After seeing the socialism in Ireland...let's just say he changed his way of looking at economics. He hated the economics of Ireland, do to the socialistic nature, and was quite happy to return to the good 'ol US.

Nope, this wasn't moved. I tried to take this one paragraph down to the politics area to continue this part of the conversation there. But, I stopped by here and instead posted it here.

I really would like to explore this side of the conversation with links and information. I think it could be interesting and I'd like to read a bit more too. Hence the reason I posted this.

"This side of the conversation" You mean the tactic of keeping people ignorant and under control? There is so much evidence of it I don't know where to start. Look at the US public education system, major source of ignorance there. What do they NEVER teach in the public school system? Capitalism. The US public school system has never taught the system of the United States. You learn about all kinds of OTHER systems but not the American system. Isn't that odd? Yes, you can take economics in college but most universities slant their economic classes in the socialist direction. Luckily, I had an honest economist teaching where I went. And he had stacks of evidence to back up his claims. Stacks!

Illuminati, yes libertarian. I have been for years. I like the Constitution and believe it is worth fighting for. I support gun ownership of as many law abiding citizens as possible (so long as the individuals choose to own a gun and all the responsibility that goes along with it). I believe that legislation cannot legislate morality, as Jefferson said. Less government and no government intrusion into personal lives.

CodeBlack, don't even get me started about this indoctrination that happens in state run "schools". It's like that song by Simon & Garfunkel, Kodachrome, "When I think back on all the crap Ive learned in highschool Its a wonder I can think at all". I remember in elementary school learning fractions in 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade, 6th grade, 7th grade and by 7th grade some kids still didn't understand how to convert fractions to decimals. I got it in 3rd grade, 4 years later I had learned how to not listen to the teacher teaching the same damn thing.

I do disagree with you that the US is capitalistic. I really wish we were. But, when there is crap like NAFTA called "free" trade, but the reality is that it is regulated/forced trade. NAFTA also happens to be directly responsible for the increase in illegal immigration. It was seen in Washington state in 1996.

If we were a capitalitic economy there would have been no bailouts. We'd all be allowed to agree on a medium through which we can trade goods and services. The paper money used would not be created and controlled by a corporations. As it is, a corporation makes the federal reserve notes that are called "cash". It is illegal for you and I to agree to trade using rocks (if we agreed to it). We could go to prison as a federal offense for not choosing to trade in federal reserve notes or today plastic cards. No, what we have is a corporately controlled system of trade, AKA fascism.

Oh...back to school. There used to be a time that kids would finish the whole book before the end of a quarter or trimester, now, thanks to the "reforms" of the '70's, kids only see parts of the books they're supposed to read. Then the modern day books have really big pictures with even less words on the page than I remember.

I do not disagree with that. The "US is Capitalist" statement needs further definition. The US has never been "laissez-faire" Capitalism, which is what it should have been. The US has always had lots of regulation and gov interference. Every nimrod who gets into office thinks he knows how the system should be run but each one just adds more unnecessary regulation to the existing regulation and grows the government more. Throughout the last century the US has steadily moved further and further away from capitalism while politicians have goaded the public into blaming capitalism more and more.

Nobody ever figures out that its the continued escalation of corruption of capitalism that has caused all of the problems. Now its totally out of control. They don't even bother hiding the corruption anymore. Libs vote for democrats no matter how dirty they are. They don't comprehend that corrupt people do bad stuff.

In the end people get the government they deserve.
