And in the real world robots usually do not fail, they usually are programed with the wrong commands, and they do exactly what they are told, like crash into a part or malfunction duing a flag sequence. Usually a wrong decimal point position, or wrong travel distance. Even samrt robots can be dumb, they do exactly what they are told to do. :lol:

So far, yeap. Robots do as their programming depicts, nothing more, nothing less. It'll get interesting when that is no longer the case.

The three rules of Robotics are fairly perfect, given that the entity in question hasn't the ability to horribly misconstrue literature like we humans do.

And all three rules don't mean s**t if that robot has any semblance of AI like they do in movies.

Mayhaps.. But that is of course assuming we don't have a system in place to remove the ability to choose in certain instances?

I think cyborgs are going to come way before AI does, and cyborgenetics will probably be useful in their development.
