With Life After People (showing how infrastructure breaks down) and now The Colony (survival in a post apocalyptic environment), does anyone feel like someone out there is trying to prepare us for the fall of civilization? Jericho is another one that comes to mind. Or am I just seeing this because I try to think of ways to survive in a post apocalyptic society? :D ( I even have a bag of basic supplies ready, and am going to nursing school. Yes, I picked a career based on what might be the most useful skill to have when it all goes to hell.)

It's the fad these days.

Apocalypse Movies and remakes are the rage in the film industry right now.
War is an extension of economics and diplomacy through other means.

Economics and diplomacy are methods of securing resources used by humans.

Securing resources is the one necessary behavior for all living things.

War = Life

The BBC program Survivors as well. That was another one like Jericho only without the nukes.
