Just as one breaks so does the other. All in the line of duty and possibly, despite signing up for said duty, close to hero status. A tip of the cap for courage under fire, even though it's supposed to be part of the job, comes with the territory so to speak, it still takes guts and commitment to pull it off. The risk speaks for itself!

SWIFTWATER, Pa. – Police officers in northeastern Pennsylvania rescued a 9-year-old boy who had been kidnapped by his father as a fatal gun battle erupted between the man and state troopers, authorities said Monday.

After arguing with his estranged wife during a custody exchange, Daniel Autenrieth kidnapped his son at gunpoint, then led police on a 40-mile high-speed chase that ended with a crash and an exchange of gunfire, state police commissioner Col. Frank Pawlowski said. Autenrieth and a state trooper were killed.

Are you saying all Swedish fishermen are gay, like the Gorton's guy?

Might be. Look at the facts; clean air makes people very odd.

People from London, good down to earth people. People from Sweden are like our good friend here.

It's the air I recon!

This happened right in front of my brothers business.

He was closed down all day yesterday, cause they were still doing their investigation.

Sorry to see the trooper was killed. And the other one is in stable condition. He was aiming for the head it got him in the throat.Needless to say the ***hole that shot the two troopers is dead.

What is a state trooper anyway? Did the people in charge watch too much star wars or something?

What is the difference between a normal copper and a `state trooper`?

Either way you don't mess with a PA Trooper!

Normal everyday cops have boundaries ( CITY LIMITS ) except in very very specific circumstances, State Troopers cover a much wider area of responsibility. State Troopers have more power along with that extended responsibility.
