Never watched it much. Didn't put much thought into the Afterlife until I started watching Discovery Channel's "A Haunting." Plus I'd rather see show with actual accounts instead of some guy "guessing" and seeing who raises their hand. John Edward probably does have the ability, but now that I think of it he's not trained enough to be effective. And from what I'm told it's very hard for a spirit to get ANY information to the living.

As for my question:
Why don't people train their minds to be better at spirit communication? We know some are better at it than others. So it can be done.
What if it were true?

life gets in the way..plus it can spook people..people might think they are crazy..the message to such types is generally. "you're crazy"..a need to fit in..conform, etc...

But, maybe people should apply themselves more, as the payoff would be HUGE for everyone involved, yah think?

Yes. If more research was done we could answer THE greatest question of all time...

"Is there an afterlife?"

As for my question:
Why do people find it so easy to believe in religion sight unseen with little evidence, but find it hard to believe in anything classified as "paranormal" when there's stacks of evidence? If it were put to a legal proceeding then it would be case closed with a "true" verdict. So WTF!?
What if it were true?

childhood conditioning (particularly of the religious kind) life long shaming of exploring that kind fo thing, and fear of the unknown, I think..

But, do you see how popular these types of subjects are on certain thinking types of tv channels?
