I'm perfectly fine with it. There was a time, you know, when I decided to try to destroy my memories on purpose. They pained me very much, you see.
My only concern, though I was willing to make that sacrifice too, was that I'd lose my intelligence. I thought back then that being smart was about the amount of information a person had.
I did end up freeing myself from my personal history, not totally, but enough to soothe much of the anguish. And in abandoning my biography, I also began to find out some very interesting things.
