I didn't listen to the song but the title did give me a partial.

Did Blonde invent rap? Can you cite a rapper earlier on than her?

I just wrote a humble little poem, just now..off the cuff
Can I share it here?

Okay?
..thanks
:)

It's inspired by a convo I just had with my H..he was telling me how on most of the popular tv shows these days the characters are all jaded in some way or another and he disikes the trend. There needs to be more inspirign characters, he feels.Like in days of old.

We have had this convo before.
before I would explain to him I felt it was Hollywoods way of trying to show how everybody is fallable and human.

But recently I felt it might be more insidious than that. Like sending out a subconcious catching 'green light' to the masses to just act like selfish asshles.
and so my poem..

I call it

TV Junkie

When I watch TV these days, what do I see?
Many jaded characters staring back at me.

There's a strange idea they seem to be feeling.
One, for sure, that's got me reeling.

"Be as rotten as you want to be."
"Cause' everybodies rotten, baby. Can't you see?"

I can't deny it, because I know they're right.
Yet, just as everyone is dark, they are also light.
