Re: Is Our Existence An Endless Cycle

Agreed frosted, there is a cycle of life but it is not without beginning or end. The same goes for our human existence, it follows a cycle but not an endless cycle; birth, childhood, adulthood, old fart stage and then death. Then, as Hebrews 9:27 says, after death comes judgment. End of cycle.

Re: amazing discovery about nostradamus

The number just is. It is what it is. What is represented by that number is VERY bad.

Re: Who has been naughty, who has been nice?

greeney, just because one says they are "born again", doesn't make it so. Just because one claims they are a Christian, doesn't make it so. We judge by their fruits. A good tree puts forth good fruit and vice versa. Jesus said, "Many will say to Me on that day, `Lord, Lord, did we not...

Re: Evangelizing

Can't argue with you here greeney. All seed should be sown in love and by the Lord's leading.

Re: Evangelizing

So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.

Example is good, but not enough. The message needs to be communicated as well. Faith comes from hearing. The written word is the same because when you read it you are hearing it within your head, mind, and heart.

Re: Evangelizing

That may be greeney, but if it reaches just one then it was worth it. All the preaching in the world doesn't amount to a hill of beans unless God draws the person. All we can do is plant a seed, it's God that causes the growth.

Re: "Idolatry"

Thought/Observation: I think we are all very aware -- in the Evangelical Church especially, but in general, most Churches, there are people who condemn others all the time for committing sins. And really I think it's because it makes them feel better about themselves. I can't argue with that. There...

Re: "Idolatry"

Qmark, nothing could be further from the truth, because if you were right we would not have a countless number of different Christian Religions within Christianity, we would have one. Those theological differences were not resolved and why so many different religions came into being, and went in se...

Re: "Idolatry"

The bottom line is that the concept of Idolatry varies in many different religion cultures from Christianity, Catholicism, HIndu, Buddism, and Islam , My bottom line is, I don't care what these other religions have to say about idolatry. My only concern is, what does the bible say. It just becomes ...

Re: "Idolatry"

greeney, I'm not sure what you were really trying to get at. First, let me say this, if one worships Mary more than, or over, Jesus, then yes Mary has become an idol to them. But in my opinion, probably not frrostedmans, anybody or anything becomes an idol if it/they are elevated above God in their ...
