What a disgusting a-hole. And the fact that he ever felt it was okay to say something like that publically shows what a disgusting idiot he is.
And the fact that the news is seriously discussing the idea is making me disgusted with society.

"Get rid of the the unionized Janitors", is the bigger part of what he said to provide these part time jobs. That seems to be a common Republican idea anymore, busting the Unions of State, and local government employees from Cops, Firemen, to Teachers unions, that all are paid from the State.

I am a union person.
My h is big union.
His college degree is labor relations.

I know there are many over powerful, corrupt unions out there.
I also know unions are necessary, without them many workers are basically fooked.

Also.. I feel it is in super bad taste to bring up child labor..in any way.

Spain and Italy were great. My favorite place was Majorca a Spanish island. Went to the Vatican, Mt Vesuvius and all the places that I have heard about all my life. It was a great 11 days.

That sounds fantastic. I would love to do that someday. The trip of a lifetime. My uncle and cousins live on the island of Corfu. I haven't seen them them since I was a kid. I hope to someday visit them in person. They own a restaurant there. They are transplanted Brits (like me, I guess).

Of COURSE the huffington post is going to spin this into child slave labor... you've got to break free from their "kill all right wingers" agenda and look at it for what it is.

He very simply said that the janitors in NY for example, make enough money to feed 30 poor children who could do the work themselves and probably do better at it. He went on to explain that back in the day, people worked jobs that weren't perfect, but did what they had to do to rise above poverty level.

It sounds like you'd rather the janitor make $60.00 an hour, while the 30 kids stay poor and hungry, unable to rise above or recognize in their early formative years, the value of making an honest buck.

I know you better than that, and I'm sure it isn't what you are thinking but, that's the other side of this debate and the truth and solution lie somewhere in the middle.
