The light is recombined on the other side, and for a window of trillionths of a second, whatever goes on in that gap is undetectable.

They need to hurry up and perfect it so I can hide from the wife and nap.

When I first got on this site back I think 1991... I read every page of a (disturbing but revealing) document John had scanned all the pages to, called "The Matrix" by a man called Vlad Valarian or something, as I recall.

In the pages somewhere, were the findings of some researcher that said this is exactly how the UFO's travel undected... by bending the light around them so all you see is what is on the other side... i.e. cloaking... makes them seem invisible.

When I read it, I stopped and thought, "This is something we can do in the not-so-distant future, I'm sure of it.... it doesn't seem that highly advanced... it seems simple, actually....."

And voila. Your post. I guess we've done it.

I would think that one application of this would be sending secret information.
