Authorities say two doctors who traveled to Maryland to perform late-term abortions have been arrested and charged with multiple counts of murder, an unusual use of a law that allows for murder charges in the death of a viable fetus.

Correct me if I am wrong, but according to laws a 26-27 week fetus is considered to be viable age and late term. What are the exact weeks according to the law, and did this baby have signs of life, to which doctors are required to take every measure to save, if that happens?
