Do you think the debates with Tichan were rational in this thread?

Alan Turing, who had a lot to do with the computers we use and cracking a Nazi code in WWII with computers, was convicted in Britain as a homosexual. He was put on some kind of hormone drug as punishment to make him straight. He later killed himself.

Why did he kill himself?

I looked him up, he agreed to the female hormone drugs instead of prison, which I also looked up, and that is reversable after you stop the drugs. It is was also used on rapists, child molesters, etc. to alter their "urges", not too sure how well it worked, that an entire subject in itself. His Mother argued that his death was accidental, somehow had eaten an apple, but the apple was not tested, and he was cremated. I'm guessing but maybe rat poison in a cellar where things like apples, potatoes are kept cool and stored. They said it was suicide, but did not give the reasons why he killed himself. Sounds like he had a tragic end to his life, this was also in the UK at a time when these laws were proscuted.

Who can say for sure?

I presume it is because society disavowed him.

It's a fair assumption that the persecution for being gay had a lot to do with his death. What a way to say thank you.

Maybe, maybe not! What does this have to do with the question about Tichan acting rational at all?

I will necromance Alan Turing and ask him what he thinks of Tichan's debate.

Maybe if he had used the animals acting like homosexuals as a defence, it would been a rational defence.

I don't see how animal behavior relates to what should be legal amongst humans.
