Okay. What translation/Interpretation or codex, manuscript of Hebrew or Greek did you find this? i.e. Codex Jerusalem, Textus Receptus, Codex Vaticanus, Masoretic Texts?

I question this because in the Hebrew language the name Jehovah does not exist. It was never used until after the Masorets created the name from combining three names of God together in their translations and documentations/copies.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jehovah
Please read this as it does a very good objective layout, though questionable statement made about some of the historical uses in the Roman Catholic Church would be argued., but the history is very good at explaining where the name Jehovah originated.

In most religions, the name of god isn't pronouncable to humans (or) is kept secret from them.

Often times (as in Egyptian mythos) god exists only as his name and when god spoke said name then the universe and time came into existence.

So, while there may be a name for god, we have no way of knowing what that name is.

Also, of note, recently the Catholic church took the name Jehova out of its masses because the name should remain unspoken.

Also, also, of note Jehova sounds very similar to the Latin Jovepatier (sp) or Jupiter. That's why Brits say, "BY JOVE!"

What is "God's" name?
