Now I wish all of you who live in the arid southwest, or even Texas, were here to witness true life threatening hot as hell heat. By the weeks end sadly more people will be found dead throughout the mid-west.... It's just a different game around here when it gets like this.

The humidity is the real killer, any stressful outdoor activity, especially for those at risk, could be fatal. It's that freaking hot...........

I like it when you can smell the oil in the blacktop, and all the women can care less what they look like wearing next to nothing...............trust me when I say..............It's freaking dangerously hot!

The EMR Runs here are basically non stop.....................I think it was 90 degrees at 9 am here today~~and gonna be hotter tomorrow thru Saturday.

Personally I rank Down Town St Louis as the Hottest hell hole on earth when it gets like this........Hope those old folks get to a cooling center...

I imagine the humidity is what is the real killer with that heat. At least for us out in the desert, when its hot, we do not have the humidity.

Yep the humidity is wicked, without it there would be no discussion Just taking the trash out will make you sweat like a race horse, just imagine the business end of a jack-hammer, or shovel. Heat strokes come on quickly and can be a very very serious situation.........But it's nothing new just embellished by the TV Networks chasing ad dollars............akin to the twister coverage, or the up and coming Hurricane season...........ohhhhhhhhhhhh scary!

Something tells me that the Winter will be just as extreme as the Spring.........anyway it's like a blast furnace outside right now and it's only 7:30 am.

TO hot!! 105.4 here today in ashgrove mo. its 6:38 and still at 99.5 this is rough! but we will get through it. afraid to se the 10 pm news ans see who was lost to this damn heat today.

LOL.................I never wear a shirt in this kind of weather.............unless I have to run to town for something..........lol

Anyway these kinds of heatwaves are common around here, after a few days of it your body adjusts and you quickly get very very used to it......especially if you hydrate yourself properly........but at my advanced age.....lol...I do find myself running out of gas of an evening.........I can still work out in it for a few hours before I hunt the shade......once there and a few cold frosty ones later, I've little interests it doing much except for listening to music or the Cardinal game......

The sad thing about all of this is the MEDIA beating it into the ground.............They act like we've never seen heat like this before, which is an absolute lie............

I've lived through three of the very worst heat-wise summers on record...........This current one has a long long way to go to even come close to measuring up. Although yesterday was an absolute unreal and brutally hot day.............I've seen it like that for 20-30 plus straight days.........tempers get really really short when that happens and crime goes through the roof. Mostly domestics, and road rage incidents..................some really bad beat downs, both male and female involved ones.

It's well past time for a haircut... I think I'll have em shave it down to the scalp.
