Please answer honestly. The answer can be "I see nothing but darkness" if that's what you see.

Sea cucumbers.

I see the image of the computer screen or the last word I just typed and it fades away. I think I thinking about the last thing I was looking and possibly imagine it in my mind, not really seeming the image being transmitted from the optic nerve to the brain. I think the brain imagines it. If I close my eyes, and let them adjust to being shut, than raise my hand to in front of my eyes it does get darker, and I'm also aware of my hand by the feel in my face, without touching myself.

We use to go into Boyden Caverans every year up in Kings Canyon Naional Park, and deep into the cave they turn off the lights, and let you see total darkness. Than they light a very small sourse of light. You can only imagine those miners in Chile, what they experienced.

Sometimes I start dreaming, if I'm trying to sleep when they're closed.

Sometimes geometric shapes flicker vividly like a winamp visualization.

But most of the time, just darkness.

I see many things..usually it starts black but colored visions creep in..sometimes looks like writing, or patterns, sometimes looks like equations..sometytimes it's all layered and jumpled..like intricate wall paper (usually glowing purple symbols, patterns on a black background..but somtiems the backgorund goes whitish and the symbols turn dark blue)
sometimes I see faces, or little glimpses of close up visions of things
I see the tunnel of my third eye when I focus on that idea..attempting to open..Usually it starts out a pinpoint..then looks like a circle of clouds..soemtimes I can almost bust it wide open..but not yet (haven't practiced in a long time, thouhg..thinking about getting back to that)

I also do the dreaming thing..I can begin dreaming, see my dream in my mind's eye when on the edge of sleep
I felt people try and pop through at that time..a face will suddenly appear with a mental "bang" and then pop out..I am not able to "hold it" yet..get too conscious..it's a tightrope walk..keeping the door ajar..not too open..not too closed..you know what I am talking about

I use to be quite the lucid dreamer..not of late, though..must, maybe get back to practicing all that

and you can hone in on them, only one by one or as a group, or both?

No, they're too well meshed with the darkness.
