The definition above is the accepted version these days but go back to some very old Law Dictionaries and the definition is very different.
A License is a grant or approval to do something that is or would be otherwise ILLEGAL to do under the old definitions.
A marriage License, Gun License etc etc is an invention of the Government to raise revenue and to control peoples lives ... Would someone please point out the section of the U.S Constitution that give the US Federal Government or any state Government the right to require any one to have a License to get married, carry a gun or even drive a vehicle please?
To be required to obtain a license by a Government to do things which you are entitled to do because of your GOD given rights to do is evidence a completely controlled and owned society.
