Math itself is the finger pointing at the moon. Kind of distracting.

The objects math are about comprise the moon. Strip the name Pythagorean from the name Pythagorean theorem and you get closer. (I heard some Chinese dude wrote down that theorem before Pythagoras.)

Have you ever wondered what a non-corporeal race's math would be like? Our math is largely rooted in counting and enumeration because we are corporeal and perceive one apple, two apples, and so on. But what if they were born with a knowledge of quantum entanglement which messes up the whole counting process or don't even have access to things to perceive. For them the only number would be 1, referring to how many of them there are. That and the first infinity (there are infinitely many various infinities).

No apples to count, being incorporeal.

If we live in a matrix, numeration could be a fabrication as would be the rest of math as there might only be one thing in truth: existence.

yah know..any thread prior to a month or two ago..I don't think I even want to read at this point..but wonder if maybe I ought to..go..take a look with my newish perspective (before it wears off)
