Yeah it is. At least it's potentially better than TV. Getting worse by the minute, but you can still avoid the content that the ones who run the TV networks brainwash and indoctrinate us with if you want to.
And I think the TV comes standard with brainwave modulating signals, and I don't think they are common on the internet unless you use it to watch TV channels.
I just use the internet for at most an hour a day. Usually for five minutes at a spell. 20 minutes of that might be news-gathering, another twenty would be studying, and the rest I spend on a couple of boards. (Mostly).
With a TV one would more likely be stuck in front of it all night and find it hard to switch it off or even go to the lavatory whilst it's on.
I made the decision to bin the box one day and it went the next. I was rather unsettled making the decision, but I felt happier and more alive after only one day without it.
* It was an Arnold Swartznegger movie which clinched it for me. I don't remember which one it was, but there was Arnie driving a convertible and shooting 'baddies' with a machine gun. I just thought 'why am I watching this crap?'
