My questions? The Constitution?

I've sent letters to my senatewhores and my congresscritter...all to no avail. I get form letters back! "Thank you for your interest in X, the (congresscritter/senatewhore) believes Y...yadda yadda yadda". There has to be a better way.

I'm not rich, I can't wine/dine/entertain them like the corporate lobbyists! But, I can start a few campaigns against them. I can badmouth them and get them fired! We ALL can!

It's easy, if a supposed "representative" does NOT uphold their Oath of office to defend the Constitution, then they're fired. No "ifs ands or buts"! There is only one word, as far as I'm concerned, it is the CONSTITUTION! That is it. You're either with the Constitution or you're against it. If you're against the Constitution, then you're an enemy of the Americans and all Humans through out the world. For I believe, the Bill of Rights comes from God. Therefore, ALL humans have those basic Rights. No government grants those rights. No government takes those rights. However, Humans may have to, regrettably, fight for those rights to remind the servants who is really in charge.

To answer your question, yes, a TRUE democrat non-politician can be a constitutionalist. The problem is, the Democratic party has been taken over by socialists/communists. The Republicans have their share as well but they are more in the closet then those of the democratic party.

Maybe it is more of a reflection on myself and my own frustration that has been brewing for years.

I have friends who are dems. They're good people. But, God forbid you give them a book about the Second Amendment. Sorry, but just like with the ten commandments, the Bill of Rights isn't multiple choice! You want freedom of speech? Of press? Of Religion? Great! Then you need to support the God given right of ALL the other Amendments as well! Or at least the first 10.

Then...when I went to a dem meeting (I almost exchanged the e for an a)...about the death care bill...ugh! They DON'T CARE ABOUT THE CONSTITUTION!!!! They said as much!!!! My state...is closer to a democracy and further away from a Republic!!!! I didn't know about this! It happened last year on tax day!

Copies of the Declaration of Independence, Nesaie. Not just the main body, though; make sure you include the list of grievances that goes with it. For quite a few items in that list, you should be able to find a modern analog to a Colonial grievance. In fact, you might want to skip the Declaration itself, just use the grievances, and cite the source at the end of your document. Spice it up a bit by including some of David Cole's works*, if you really want to go Constitutional-Liberal. Who knows, you might get a job offer from the Center for Constitutional Rights.

*David Cole is a professor at Georgetown University, author of books on civil rights, criminal justice, and constitutional law, as well as an attorney for the above-mentioned Center for Constitutional Rights.

Heck, the beginning of the second paragraph of the Declaration of the thirteen united States of America says it all. But, many of the grievances they had with king georgie are similar to grievances today.

(Hum...sounds all the fed agencies like the FDA, CPS, IRS, etc. There was just an article about police (local and fed) in California raided a health food store and stole their raw milk and yogurt. The accusation is they didn't have the correct license. If that were true, why did they have guns drawn? What about the military patrolling US streets? Or at DUI check points. I could go on.)

(Reminds me of the CIA, NSA, and all the other alphabet soup agencies who appear to be above the law.)

It's my understanding that the Liberals are the product of Активные мероприятия. On the other hand, Conservatives are more a product of religious fanaticism/Corporate America.

Both extremes are a real danger to the Constitution. I give it 50-100 years before we become a collectivist state.

I guess it's a good thing that I'm not modern liberal or conservative then.

As far as I'm concerned, McCarthy was right. The commies were and are working within our own Country spreading their message and people believe it. We have a witch (no offense to Wiccans and other neo-Pagans) in the federal "government" who's "favorite philosopher" is chairman mao. We have another person in the federal "government" who is the son of a terrorist. And, we have somebody claiming to be President who is currently friends with a home grown terrorist from the weathermen!

Ever compare the Bill of Rights with the 10 planks of the communist manifesto? If you have, you'd notice that these feds follow the commies rules, not American Rules.

The commies within the republicans are now calling themselves "neo-cons". Yeah, it's a con job on all the fundamentalist Christians. The commies within the democrats call themselves "progressive". There is no difference between the two except maybe their rhetoric before getting (s)elected. In the end, both increase government, spending and wars! Anyone who believes the rhetoric is either really stupid or so brainwashed by their cool-aid that we should feel sorry for them.
