The Obama Administration & US Politics

Obama's Supreme Court Nominee Elena Kagan

As the 2012 election is now over, Barack Obama has won a second term. Many wonder how his policies, his administration, and how the entire political arena, will change our future.

Ugh Frostedman...don't even get me started. :( BTW, Hi :D

I've been to a couple of tea-parties. I am a "teabagger" as the democrats like to call us. On tax day I went to two tea-parties. The one in the city I was interviewed by camera phone by a girl I suspect was from ACORN. She asked me about, what an big subject. I attempted to explain to her that in this state we give the federal gov. $1.01 and receive $1.00. Wouldn't that be much more efficient to just keep it here? Couldn't we help more people who are neighbors? She came from a socialist/commie approach of wanting to help poorer states. My god, she had to walk past homeless, many of whom may have been veterans, to get to that rally. Did she buy them dinner? Did she give them a roof for one night?

I made a mistake while talking to her and referred to them as "bums". She reacted emotionally. That turned me into a "bad guy". I explained to her that I am friends with "bums", one of whom died about a year ago. I even posted about him, Ken-Dawg. I still have a peace picture he drew for me on my fridge. Hell, my roommate after the dr. was a friend who had, at one point, lived on the street. He too was a veteran, just like Kenny. He, as far as I'm concerned, was murdered by the VA. What is in a word...a symbol? Idiots!

Sorry, didn't mean to get off on that.

I don't know if you've noticed, but I have, people are now interested in the Constitution. :D Talk to them, read the Constitution, read it to them.

About a year ago I was talking to my boyfriend about how some Seattlites are open carrying, from an article I had recently read. A man asked what we were talking about and I answered, "the second Amendment". His reply was, "what is speech?". Ugh. So, I went back into the bar and got my constitution and let him read for himself the second Amendment. His eyes got saw the lights turn on in his head. And, that is only one instance. :D

Frosty, may I call you that? It's shorter to type. Besides, it reminds me of Frosty the Snowman. :)

Talk to people. Talk to people at the grocery store, obviously church, on the street, etc. Which reminds me, I have one of those bags that has the first Amendment on it. When I was at the co-op the lady bagging the groceries began to read it. Turns out, she was an immigrant from Europe. The cashier was an immigrant from Asia and had just became a citizen. So, I gave each of them a copy of the Constitution. They seemed quite pleased to get one. Dude, I have not met one person who doesn't want a free copy of the Constitution. :D I can't wait until I get 100 more.

We have a farmers market here, as in many places. I saw one gal leaving the farmer's market who seemed primed to be informed about Monsanto, so I took the opportunity to stop her on the street and give her some information. The reaction was appreciative. You'd really be amazed...there is an awakining happening right now and it is through word of mouth.

Did you see my post about mexico having some bloody say in what happens legally in my state? That includes ALL 50 states! Thank nafta for that one. It is time to remind our servants that first, they are servants, We The People are the Rulers. Second, the 10th Amendment.

Hey Frosty, don't you hate it when you agree with a "liberal" like me? :P
Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen... - Zbigniew Brezhinsky
