I've got to side with Frrosty; the world has yet to see a police, or Communist, state which was any more reliable or responsible than the US. However, some of the monarchies seem to have pretty good overall track records.

Exactly, evutch. Right now, reactionary elements of the US are being dubbed genuine social movements. The media constantly hypes movements like the Tea Party groups and anti-immigrant rallies as a "testament" to the general sentiments of the U.S.; but really, how is it people-powered/centered when we have a movement that celebrates the rapaciousness of the market, rising foreclosures, burgeoning bankruptcies caused by high medical costs, homelessness, among other things? It does not make sense. And now people like frostedman believe that is is perfectly rational to ponder the prospect of radical environmentalists actually causing this oil spill; a man-made capitalist disaster by ALL means along with the federal government's complicity.

Well it sure as hell wasn't some bogeyman called Capitalism. Maybe it just spontaneously combusted. Happens all the time with oil rigs.

No one ever mentioned Marxist hippies anyway. My immediate thoughts were possible environmentalist radicals and it made sense because it was on the heels of Obama capitulating to pressure and going forward with more off-shore drilling.

Just like, immediately after the Supreme Court ruled that the giant Cross overlooking the Mojave should not be taken down, the cross was stolen. I guess I'd have to be a wacko (in your book) to think anti-Christian activists/radicals did it. Let me guess... Capitalism did that, too.

Obama would be wise to heed the advice of the radical environmentalists unless he wants more disasters like this to possibly occur. Now it is not the time to capitulate to corporate interests, as he has since his campaigning days. All this talk about being "tough" on BP is doubletalk, aimed at an effort to placate the sentiments of the "progressive" left. It's not working.

Well I'm glad that the progressives (of which he is one) are not satisfied. That will help ensure his being booted out of office after 4 years. Assuming he doesn't get impeached and fired first which just might happen if Sestak told the truth... no reason to think he didn't.

The nerve of this disgrace of a President. Openly meddling with elections? Bribing people to back off and let someone else be elected? Incredible.
