Men have two weeks maternity leave yet women have a year and feminists have begrudged us men having three months off for it...that is what "equality" is to these women, it's all Equal so long as they're being treated better than everyone else.

meaning combined a working couple can each take a year off,in turns to look after their newborn...( I could be wrong though..maybe its 6 months each, or whatever they want to split it up to, to combine 1 year.
I think I'm right about it..its changed a lot here ,I know that lash..fathers are given the very same rights ine maternity leave as mothers are..they are seen as a valued parent,as well they should be...because they are vital in the upbringing of a child,and their role in the family.
I do understand your hatred for "men bashing", same as "women" bashing can get silly as well.
All men do not act the same,all men.do not stay the same, much like women,,,,I get what you mean,but I think personally if you wanted to show her ...that you were right about this..and she was wrong..
Treat her like gold lash, be charming, sensitive, polite, and show her how wrong she really is...I know you could do that..
