It's damaging because these are techniques that work

Nope. Every military doc I've read, every general interview I've read about the subject of "interrogation techniques" say that they are ineffective. That statement is a bold faced lie.
Such a society would be dominated by an elite, unrestrained by traditional values. Soon it will be possible to assert almost continuous surveillance over every citizen... - Zbigniew Brezhinsky

Now trying to make a political issue out of all of it.

The CIA is a don't ask don't tell Governmental agency. Last I checked they act independently of any arm of the Government for legal reason. Such is/was the case with torture, you can bet on that. That's why the Bush administration claims that it was legal based on the findings of their legal counsel.  A bit convenient don't ya think!

The name game/ I mean blame game beings!

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Top Bush administration officials gave the CIA approval to use waterboarding, a controversial interrogation technique, as early as 2002, a Senate intelligence report shows.

On July 17, 2002, national security adviser Condoleezza Rice, who later became secretary of state, said the CIA could proceed with "alternative interrogation methods," including waterboarding, when questioning suspected al Qaeda leader Abu Zubaydah.

The decision was contingent on the Justice Department's determining the method's legality. A week later, Attorney General John Ashcroft had determined the "proposed interrogation techniques were lawful," the report said

The the message of justification~~even almost 8 years later, amazing they still feel the need to do so. :o

[color=#FF8000]The same techniques also were used in the interrogations of Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, the first person charged in the United States in the 2000 attack on the USS Cole in Yemen that killed 17 U.S. sailors, and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed, the suspected mastermind behind the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States.[/color

The culprits/ I mean scapegoats    Come on~~already have some balls and spill the real truth of this disaster just once in your pathetic miserable lives would ya. Show some decency for once, just once.

A real 'weighty" decision. What a stOoPiD clown. I guess no credit will be acknowledged of the water boarding that extracted information which halted a 9.11 style attack on Los Angeles from the "politically correct" morons.

I got a bag of marbles with more sense that this idiocy of spewing tact and technique out the ying yang for "interested parties" being emboldened by this dumb ass piece of witless excrement. All you supporters of spilling top secret information, get your easy glide ready....the crap is coming. Damn fools.

This is a big mistake on Obummers part. He is playing with fire here, I hope he can live with this decision. He may be on the other end of it in 4 years.

This friggin' idiot has just placed a wedge in a crack and the hammer heads are gonna go for it. I'd say, and do so fervently pray, this maroon Socialist Jack-ass Pirate gets thoroughly burned for the fiscal and political sedition he has committed. He is exactly less equal to Mutha Murtha's nut sack.
