The only thing that bothers me with this movie is that it takes place in a parallel universe...
That sucks, stupid humans, can´t even see their own destruction on a movie.

Is that how they're approaching it in the movie? Weird.

As far as I`ve read and heard.
Besides the Mayan calender it contains the theory about the planetary alignment and that some scientist discovers a portal to a paralell universe and ends up in a different version of Earth but at the same timeline as this one.

I hope it´s not like this...otheriwse this is just in some way a teasing off about this theory.

The people that supposedly predicted this nonsense (or have predicted something that is completely misinterpreted by lunatics) also people cut peoples hearts out during eclipses, because they thought the sun was being eaten by a giant serpant, and offering the hearts to the god would save the sun...

The only reason I really watch this movie is because billions of humans are destroyed.
And that´s a reward in itself

Wow, a portal into a different universe would have been just about the only thing that could have possibly made that movie any worse... LOL

Well 2012 the most dissapointing thing about it is that there is no research mentioned whatsoever in it.
Like they don´t say anything about the Mayans...
Best thing, the pope dies and you see him die and the world is turned into a nothingness for humans.

it was the worst god damn movie i have ever seen...

utter complete bs storyline,special effects were laid on too sweet with little credibility ..just CRAP from start to finish...

a bunker is of little surety rob,,you know a giant tsunami will probably get you from your position on the globe..if i were you ,i'd try the heart cutting thing,who knows...

Won't see it til it comes on dvd.

IT is an eye candy when it comes to special effects and so on.
Story, not that different from other movies in the same genre.

About the Mayans, the only thing they say about them is what they have shown in the trailers.

That the mayans predicted this would happen.

Which in reality has no proven value anyway whatsoever.
It is only the interpretation some of these researches have come up with.
I don't think the mayans said, WE know that the world will end 2012.
