Here's a question. Would a civilization composed exclusively of robots need money?

And by "robots" I mean machines, androids, cyborgs, AI whatnot. What would a robot DO in a robot CIV? What would a robot WANT in a robot CIV?

No they would need Energy, Money would not be an issue whatsoever.

gotta have some kind of carrot to dangle for the 'slaves'
these would be like AI, self aware 'robots', right?

I mean if a future society of them arose, they'd have to be self aware first..otherwise what would be the point...without self awareness..they wouldn't even have the urge or need to become a society

And if they were self aware..then they might respond to many kinds of rewards..depending on what kind of pleasure responses they might have developed slong the way...

that could be used for trade and lead to some kind of money coming about (along with that need of energy and whatever else makes these future robots run..oil, spare parts, etc...)

money is simply a representative of goods...of trade
