John I understand and thought as much running a board myself. But I haven't been able to post in the alien abduction section. It says I'm not allowed yada, yada do da.

It's most likely because the board is not fully up and running?

BTW Firefox causes me nothing but problems with my websites because people fail to install the updates out of fear and confusion. I can't see your videos, I can't hear the music. And so on. Mostly due to flash files.

there's been ALOT of really GOOD posters here, that could have used that feature..

Actually, it worked fine, but there were many features that were needed for an active forum such as these. Some forums, actually most, only get a few posts a day. But the Black Vault receives hundreds, and grows very quickly.

Many of the bugs, especially with FireFox, were fixed as I worked HOURS doing so. But, after many other features and tweaks were not available to me, I made the quick decision to change the board one last time. Yes, LAST time. How do I know? Because this board is highly regarded as the top of the line in message forum software - and I was able to integrate it fairly easily into the site.

There are many features that were not available before, which includes being emailed when a reply is posted, BBCode has returned, easily functionality with FireFox, pages are broken down by post numbers, etc. etc. You will see a lot looks like the old board, with some new features.

Oh yes, and you will be able to change the themes. I will work on these through the weekend... and you even have some white ones to choose if you prefer. However, they don't have the appropriate logos... that will be fixed over the next few days.

Did we lose the posts? Unfortunately, yes. I tried to convert them, but it was more hassle than it was worth. There weren't that many posts, and the majority of them were simply complaining about the new forum anyway, so good riddence

That said, I hope you all will restart the threads, and please know that this will not happen again.

Great job John and in my opinion a very very wise decision. Your project so it's only fitting that it's your business as to how you want to built it. I can't help but tip my cap. A very smart move.
