Why can't your "all-powerful God" introduce just one religion to the human race?...not powerful enough?
I don't believe what I believe because it's what I desire to believe. I believe what I believe because it's what logic and reason cause me to believe. All I want is to live with the truth -- nothing more, nothing less.

Because religion is false.

Religion is MANS invention, not Gods.

What about this is so hard to understand?

Do you think God wishes for ALL people to be the same?

not so.

First of all, it wouldnt matter if there were only "one religion"...the same amount of people would still either not believe, or refuse to play along for whatever reason.

but that's beside the point.

There has to be a way to separate the "wheat from the chaff", as it were.

There must be a way to demonstrate the difference between those who truly want peace with their fellow man, and those who seek only self-aggradizement.

Take a person who goes to church every sunday, tithes, sings in the choir, believes every word his preacher says and so on and so forth....yet this person, like everyone else in his church is very judgemental of others...believes unless one worships christ as God one will go to hell, believes ALL people who don't ascribe to his particular brand of dogma will go to hell....considers himself "better" or more spiritually "pure" than the wretched "sinner".

compare this to the man who doesn't go to church at all....doesn't believe Christ was a real person.....perhaps barely believes GOD exists, or not at all.....yet this person is charitable, feeds and clothes the poor, treats all people with equal respect, is meek and soft towards others, and forgives those who trespass against him.....

who do you think God cherishes more?

you have five seconds to answer this.

Not only is religion made by man, but "God" is made by man also.
