Moonshot on the History channel July 20th.

Moonshot is part historic footage of the history of NASA and the lunar landing, and part docudrama with actors rounding out the personalities of those involved in America’s mission to the moon.

On the commercial it was the men talking about an UFO they are seeing in space.

Just letting all of you know it is going to be on if you haven't heard already

Thank you for the heads-up, SneakyPete! I have put this program on my calendar for viewing...

I doubt, however, whether the show will be accurate, truly accurate. Will the show portray the terror that Armstrong and Aldrin felt when they looked out the window of their capsule and saw a UFO sitting on a nearby moonridge and observing them? People laugh at Armstrong for muffing his landing line --- "that's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind" --- but do they realize how brave he was when he went down that ladder while saying those words, certain that he was going to die in seconds? Will the show explain why Armstrong, perhaps the most famous individual in that line since Lindbergh, has disappeared from the public eye for forty years and why Aldrin has lied all over the place about what he has seen and not seen on the moon?

I doubt it, but I will watch the docudrama anyway. For space --- Little Green Men or not --- is our destiny and our final frontier.
