The board is loaded in every catagory with crap from someone from Austria and anther from Jordan. You can't miss them. Goverment Conspiracy is loaded with porn spam, plus one post that has 60 pages of replys already. How could that be in there already. Seems like you have a real security problem already, I've gotten a few messages and emails to "get to know me".

I've been trying to report them as I see them. John said that helped a lot. Just click on the report button and then select SPAM as the reason.

As far as the 60 page thread...I'm afraid those are real people. That is a carry over thread from the old bv.

I don't remember if John has this set up, but it could be a way to help fight the spammers.

Set it up so that they have to activate their account by email. I know he has the confirmation code in the registration, but having them activate their accounts by email might help stop them.

Another way, which would only add more work to John, is that when a new member registers, have John confirm their account before they can do anything. That would be a pain, but a good way to prevent spammers.

I didn't know you could transfer a complete post with so many pages of replies at once. Question is why can't that be done by transfering an entire forum? Is it just a simple copy and pasting of a single post? Doesn't each page of replys require a separate copy and paste?
