My first time on this thread and, before the main part, I want to congratulate John on his fine new site GovernmentSecrets
. I didn't see mention of it on the forums, but it's a great place to learn what the government probably wishes you wouldn't. I found it on theblackvault homepage. Oh yeah, BV, seen ya on Unsealed: Alien Files
. One particularly cold, overcast and dreary day, a small bird was flitting around a pasture looking for food. Not having much success in feeding himself, the bird lamented how dark and hopeless his situation had become which further demoralized and disheartened the little fellow. About that time, a cow came walking right over the bird and let loose with a big splattering of the freshest manure pile. Now the bird's thinking, "Great, you know; just trying to keep from freezing and get something to eat and now this had to happen". Soon after, however, the bird realized that the fresh manure had actually started to warm him up a bit and his spirits started to lift. Right as that poor bird started to sense a light at the end of the tunnel, the clouds parted and the sun came out just as big and bright as a summer day. With his renewed spirits and the sun bathing him in rejuvenating warmth, his little ole heart swelled up and he just couldn't help it and started singing a beautiful song from his heart. As luck would have it, a fox was within hearing distance in the pasture at the same time. He was hungry too. The fox promptly followed his ears, plucked the bird from the pile and enjoyed an easy meal.
The moral of the story is, 'Not everyone who gets you in a mess is necessarily your enemy; Not everyone who gets you out of a mess is necessarily your friend; And, if your warm and happy, wherever you are, it's best to just keep your mouth shut and enjoy it while you can.
