If there were no misunderstanding or true understanding, there would be no point to any of it. All of it would be empty talk. Just signs pointing to signs.

But there is a real reality, and there is misunderstanding, and there is true understanding.

Are we perceiving this real reality or is it obscured?

Perception is not a problem per se.

It seems to be an essential tool, perception does. One just has to recognize that it is a far cry from infallible.

Subjectivity is a blessing/curse.

There must be a method, perhaps born from the scientific method, that minimizes subjectivity when objectivity is desired...

Much of subjectivity seems born from desires, fears, prejudices...

Those are the territory of ego.

I think Ive read this topic before in a book or watched it on The Twilight Zone. Sounds familiar on the Matrix? Often at night I try to get into a meditative state or trance to just try and fly somewhere else to know certain truths...but be it a sim or not..man, whoever is in charge or wrote the codes...is one damn hell of a programmer.
