You don't have much to worry about, the Supreme Court will undoubtedly side the way you are talking, both in the California State and Federal Supreme courts. If you do not believe those courts are a reflexion of the Conservative or Liberal stance on our laws, you only need to consider just this last year, they backed the Westborow Baptists, as protesting funerals in a despicable way Constitutional. Common decency is apparently not a law, nor are most other matters regarded as moral and ethical issues. Some may regard this a protection of our Freedom of Speech(the westborrow protests), but to me it is a travesty of Justice, when our highest courts, can not know right from wrong. Both courts are tilted towards the Liberal application of our laws. Point being not all the Justices have agreed to a slam dunk 5-0,7-0, 0r 9-0 vote in the matters, so there are sound legal premises for both sides of the issues, as the voters were clearly divided over, down the middle.
