IMHO the election is so close, the Hurricane Sandy just saved the day for Obama for several reasons. First, it just got all the spotlight off of Bengaze, and he can milk this until next Tuesday, keeping Bengaze a distant second. Secondly he is looking very Presidential in the face of this disaster, being praised already by Republican Governor Christie for the handling of it all. many states and people are praising him on the almost eve of the election over the handling of this disaster. Last, this just nullified the Donald Trump challenge, deadline tomorrow, as just trivial and petty. It would be foolish for Trump to even bring it up, in the face of this disaster. Trump himself may be looking at severe damage to his own properties and casinos. He may be asking Obama for federal aid himself.

Bottom line is Obama is very visible, and Romney is hardly even noticed in these few days, and in the next days of the week, the last thing the Northeast cares about is going to a political rally or event. The wind just got taken out of Romney's sails, and the wind just blew Obama's sails soaring to victory.

And I voted for Romney already, absentee ballot, but I'm pretty darn sure this won it for Obama.

Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

He didn't need a hurricane to win. He would've won completely fine on his own.

He was a two-term president the moment he was signed into office.

The tide was turning with the Bengaze thing but that got derailed by this storm. I do think you are right, the 3 big key states Romney had to win, were not all on this side. They were swinging on the subject of the economy, and after the Bengaze news caught the president, Obama lost some points. Personally I not understand with so many people out of work and the economy so bad, how anyone can feel comfortable enough to continue with Obama.

One thing for sure, unless the Sandy Federal relief fails miserably, Obama goes into election day on a high note of handling it very well, and Romney goes into it as a total spectator. Anything he does, like photo ops loading a truck, or handing our groceries, will only be taken as a futile effort. Like the President being seen in Air Force one, is a symbol of stature, what he is doing today is taken 10 times that stature. The President taking care of business in a natural disaster successfully scores a lot of approval. Even Republican Governors and Mayors are praising him for his efforts.

Nope , not gonna happen, Romney will win by at least 9 points.

They say its dead even, so who knows. One poll said they are even in popular vote, but said it was 290 to 191 electorial votes. Tuesday will tell.

I am sure Obamo will be very suprised come the 7th , he is gonna have a hard time rationalizing the loss.
I also think his supporters will have a very hard time with this. I say stay low on the 7th, cause the sh*t is gonna hit the fan when they all realize Obamao will be leaving.

Panic will set in on the takers , and leeches..Possible riots in the urban areas. That is my prediction of how this is gonna go.


Staten Island is still waiting for FEMA to step in and help. But havent heard a peep from the media. This may actually turn the blue state red.

One thing starting to get real ugly is the lines for gasoline. Last month a relative from New Jersey visited us in California and commented about our gas $4.75 gal, and they were under $4.00. I wonder if the gougers are passing $5 yet? Lines as long a 3 hours are common.

I'm in PA, and we lost power for 3 days,Lots of downed trees, and power lines. I made it thru cause I was prepared.

I sent my GF down to Jersey because they had power where she was going, she hasnt been able to get gas since Monday cause the lines are so long. Not all stations have power yet to pump the gas. Today NJ started the old Jimmy Carter gas rationing. Odd / Even number days. can this Administration mirror the Carter fiasco any better? .lol

Actually, I will disagree on this one. Obama will not win because of Sandy. I hope people won't let a last minute act of God persuade their vote. I have more faith in society than that - but maybe I'm an optimist.

I hope people are smart enough to see through this, and look at the actual numbers and record of Obama through 4 years.
