That is so true, & iv made that point myself.

If the USA starts going around putting a fatwa and getting the grand jury to put out a arrest / kill on sight order on every person they feel has embarrassed the USA, then be ready for the tables to turn.

A country can't just expect that they can label citizens of other country's criminals & have them extradited & then tortured & or killed & not think this will set the rules of diplomacy for many years to come.

EXAMPLE.


What happens to U.S military personnel accused of war crimes, ..... no longer will the USA be able to have it's personal tried in secret, in a U.S military court ........ justice will be dished out by others from now on, according to local laws.

If a US marine, raps a young girl in Japan ..... No more US military court ..... Local Justice.

When a US solider kills innocent reporters in Iraq ......... No more US millitary court ..... Local Justice.

When US military personal get drunk on leave & get into a bar fight with locals ..... No more US millitary court ..... Local Justice.



The USA can't expect to change the rules to suit it self, & not think the rest of the world wont do the same.

After all ...... that is why the British government decided not to revoke Ecuador's diplomatic immunity over its diplomatic office in London where Julian Assange is now living.

Well, that would then mean all country's could also, remove the Diplomatic status of British embassy from around the world. & raid the British embassy for intelligence & diplomatic secrets.

Rath your logic is dumber than dirt sometimes. You miss the point totally that in all those examples of Military justice, they are now facing Federal charges, not a state or local charge. Secondly they are judged by a much more strict standard of a militay jury, not a civilian jury. Third that civilian defense attorneys are not going to turn the trial into a fiasco of creating unreasonable doubt and getting accused off scott free by duping a jury picked from random civilians. The crossection of civilian juries are picked certain ways to get people off, where military juries will not have this element of jury manipulation by lawyers.

In case you did not know it, it was the USA who interviened with the UK telling them NOT to enter the embassy of Equdor. It was the USA who was advocating NOT violating their diplomatic position in the UK, and NOT entering the embassy to get Assange. The State Deptment implored the UK to comply with this and they did.

To date the USA has no arrest warrent for Assange whatsoever.

weather or not the usa decides on a case by case bases to charge somebody ( a military officer ) in the usa with federal, or state, charges in a civilian of military court makes no difference, if the usa changes the rules.


the only reason the usa takes its people back to the USA to face trile is because it has agreements with each country to do so.

But.

If those said country's change that decision / procedure to fit in line with the usa's new rules.

Well you will see less us personnel going back to the usa to face hearings, regardless of weather they face trial in a state or federal or military court as they will never get back to the usa ...


New rules as set down by the usa will see us personnel executed or imprisoned in the country were the crime was committed ........ no special treatment anymore.
